Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) PLC, established in January 2004, is the only specialized housing finance institution in the Maldives. HDFC is a privatized company with International Shareholders represented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC of World Bank Group), Asian Development Bank, and HDFC Bank Ltd. of India, jointly holding 51% of shares.

The Corporation is seeking a diligent and strategic administrative officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in achieving recovery objectives, reducing non-performing assets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description

  • Execute and manage collection strategies to recover overdue loan payments from borrowers.
  • Oversee and assess loan repayment performance, ensuring timely repayments and preventing accounts from falling into non-performing loans (NPLs).
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all interactions with defaulters.
  • Enhance recovery rates from written-off and delinquent accounts through innovative and effective tactics tailored to varying situations.
  • Work closely with the legal team to issue notices and provide essential information for litigation cases.
  • Provide required information for CRIB and other relevant reports as needed.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to current workflows and processes to boost operational efficiency and collaborate with other departments to achieve this.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of integrity and ethics in all recovery activities.
  • Assist in developing and executing recovery strategies that align with company policies.
  • Assist in achieving recovery objectives of the department.

Job Requirements

  • GCE A ‘Level / Diploma in Accounts, Business Administration, Finance or Management.
  • Work experience in the areas of Finance, accounting, or credit analysis would be an added advantage.
  • Good analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Dhivehi, with strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Competent with General Office Software.

Salary

  • Salary ranging from MVR 11,000 to 13,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Working Hours

The selected candidate will be required to work from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs from Sunday – Thursday.
