Dr. Ali Zahir bin Saeed Qasim is a Shari’ah Lecturer at the Faculty of Shari’ah & Law at the Maldives National University. He served most recently as the Dean of the Faculty of Shari’ah & Law at the Maldives National University and has held various positions there since 2009. Sheikh Ali Zahir earned his Master Degree in Islamic Revealed Knowledge & Heritage (Fiqh and Usool Al-Fiqh) at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He also holds a B.A. in Hadith & Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madina. And he is a member of the Shari’ah Advisory Committee for a number of Islamic Financial Institutions in Maldives.
